San Francisco, California
Synergy School’s parents, teachers
and student body wanted their new school to reinforce their
strong sense of community and provide spacious and flexible
classroom settings. The former mortuary was converted into
eight classrooms, an art room, a staff room and support
spaces. The 15,100 s.f. facility combines the traditional
vocabulary of the original building with a more contemporary
palette and bright colors to reflect the nature of the school
as a vital learning environment.
